Our annual winter charity event this season was to support Philabundance (www.philabundance.org) by holding a food drive. The drive was a great success, bringing in 592 pounds of food. Philabundance is the region’s largest hunger relief organization. In 2010, they acquired 21 million pounds of food, distributed 18 million pounds in our area and exported 3 million pounds of food to assist other area food banks. We would like to extend a deep thank you to the generous families of SJ Elite whose donations made the drive so amazing and to ShopRite for donating the collection bags as well as a gift certificate.
